    Hi,

Having just purchased TDS3, and have started exporing its innards, i am a little confused as to whether its an on demand scanner or a resident scanner. Or maybe both.

For now i have it to start up with windows, and after the initial quick scan, it minimizes to the system tray. In this state, i assume it is acting as a resident scanner, and monitoring my system at all times. Could you please confirm that guys.

    Thanks :)

    Hi tragic001,

You are right. TDS-3 can do both.
Did you read this thread: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=2871 ?

    Regards,

    Pieter

Hello tragic001, The simple answer is Click the TDS menu - Execution Protection - Install.
This will set the resident part which will be effective when the TDS is loaded to the desktop or sitting in the system tray but NOT if TDS is not loaded
