Now that version 6 for home users has been released I was wondering if there's a target release date for version 6 business?

Back when version 5 home was released and more than nine months had passed without a version 5 business release I had this same question. The administrators said something to the effect "Version 5 uses the same modules as version 4 and is functionally equivalent with the exception of new features such as HIPS. So don't worry about it".

My problem is that I support people that are not technically savvy and the managers who make the buying decisions seem to only see that they're not on the "latest" version. They start asking questions like "Are we as protected as we should be?" or "Our subscription's up in four months, should we switch to something else if Eset is not getting these new versions out the door fast enough?"

So telling them "Don't worry about it" doesn't always cut it, so can I look forward to version 6 business in the near future?

    Hello,

I think ESET mentioned when the ESET Endpoint products were being introduced that the business and consumer products would go off and have different versioning in the future as the programs began to differ more and more for their respective target markets.

A release of ESET's Endpoint products is in the process of being tested that adds compatibility for some popular programs and operating systems that were released after it was, however, as far as the version number goes, I am unsure of what will be used.

In order to make it more clear and more visible, perhaps you should change the program number of ENDPOINT versions . For example

    ESET Endpoint Antivirus version 1
ESET Endpoint Security version 1 and then continue with version 2, 3, 4 , etc.

Keep the current version 5, 6, etc only for the home versions.

And ESET should also make the programs GUIs more and more different - at the moment EEA/EES (Business edition 5) GUI very much looks like EAV 5/ESS 5
