    Hi,

Im new to this program I have never used it before.

I installed ID-Blaster Plus v2.0, made a note of my product ID's and started the program, all looked ok, but on reboot the folder I created and installed it in opens up ! (does it every time I reboot !), and now my free addition of AVG anti-virus no longer loads at start up !, I now have to manually start AVG up and then re-enable the control centre to get AVG working again, as it is disabled when I manually start it up.

I tried to re-load my default product Id's which I thought ID-Blaster had saved for me and could not seem to do it, so I uninstalled ID-Blaster and restored a backup of my registry.

Same results as before: no AVG start-up and the folder I installed ID-blaster in still opened up, so I deleted the folder reset all the AVG settings a few times and re-booted my PC again

this time with success: AVG loads up and no folder or error about it loading at start up, great !

but I now have no ID-Blaster Plus v2.0 on my PC ! and I am now wondering if all of my product ID's have reset to their defaults or not ? (Windows has) not sure of where to look for the rest anyway ! although I did make a note of all that were listed in ID-Blaster Plus v2.0.

Can anyone shed some light on all of this so I can use ID-Blaster Plus v2.0 on my PC without all these problems ?.

    many thanks for any help.

Under the Edit menu in ID-Blaster Plus is a "manual value change" option which would allow you to change values back to the originals you recorded.

As far as ID-Blaster Plus causing those issues - it is very unlikely, but I'll do some further testing with AVG just to make sure.

If you don't mind, I would be interested to see if you get the same results if you reinstall ID-Blaster Plus, restart the computer, and THEN change the product IDs.

    TIA.

Ok I did as you asked with no problems at all.

It must have been because I did not reboot my PC after the first installation before using the program, I also neglected to close all running programs in the background before I first installed it !, I shut everything down this time apart from Explorer before re-installing it.

I hope you didn't waste to much time testing it with AVG !.
I also found the "manual value change" option, thanks.

One thing I still do not know how to do is: (how to manually add a link) to my "start-up" folder in my Start Menu to get the program to load and start running when Windows starts up, could you tell me how to do that please.

    Thank you for your help

There should be an "ID-Blaster Plus" shortcut installed under an "ID-Blaster Plus" folder in your Start menu. The quickest way would be to drag this shortcut to your "Startup" folder in your Start Menu.

You may want to also change the default in the "General Options" section under the "Options" menu in ID-Blaster Plus. There, you can set up the program to start randomizing when it starts, start minimized, and/or minimize to the system tray. :)
