probleem met virusscan norton

wie kan me vertellen welk virus of worm ervoor zorgt dat je norton icoon van de virusscanner op het bureaublad blijft staan terwijl hij niet meer op te starten is. Ook downloaden van externe viruszoekers lukt niet, alleen removaltools van symantec wel.
Ik wil weten in welke hoek ik de removaltools moet zoeken alvast bedankt voor tips
