outgoing mail not checked for virus or spam

    ESET Mail Security for Exchange 4.3.10023.0
    Using the GTUBE Spam and the EICAR virus text to test, only incomming email is checked for spam and viruses. internal email is not checked. outgoing email is not checked.

    The exchange server IS the outgoing SMTP server too - as the manual explains that it must be for outgoing to be checked.

    I discovered this while trying to figure out what I was doing in the GUI to cause the AV and Spam to stop processing... Something I do when I am in the rules or logs, have to keep trying different things. Happened many times and only a server reboot fixes it. Now I know it is the same issue I had with 10016.0

    Anyway, thought on why outgoing email is not checked? Custom Rules ARE processed for both incomming and outgoing email.
