I couldn't find anything on this other than noting the change in the forum-group's name. If there's an announcement or other pertinent posting that I missed, please steer me there.

When and how did "Javacool" become "BrightFort"? Did JC sell his operations, or is this simply a name change for them?

    Thanks and best,
    Mike

Thanks, I'd already seen that "About" quote yesterday when I checked for any news at the Javacool site and got redirected to BrightFort. Doesn't say much, does it? Admittedly, "formerly Javacool" implies it's little more than a name change.

Do you (or does anyone) happen to know if JC hisself continues as primary developer and will continue to contribute here?

Quick p.s. specific to SpywareBlaster ... apparently there was a relatively small defs update yesterday, and "check for updates" from within the program still works fine, apparently also covered by the redirect. Or (unlikely) possibly the update server is still on the old domain.

Thank you for this. :thumb: New things would be most excellent.

As individual threads posted elsewhere from DSL Reports break, I'll post the whole thread
