MS Updating TOS To Block Class Action Lawsuits

    Unfortunately, with the current Supreme Court... Good luck with that.

    Sony did it with the PS3 and they followed them by doing it for the Xbox I believe. I'm not surprised though, yes it should be illegal but when I hear about how sue happy Americans are I have to wonder.

    We are a sue-happy nation, there's no use in arguing that. However, special interest groups and the courts themselves enable that behavior by allowing a lawsuit for anything and everything. The problem with these protections is that they also prevent MS and others from being held fully responsible when they actually deserve to be sued, and not just "I'm mad at you"-type of lawsuits.

    Small claims courts are extremely limited, and settlements always go better for the company than you.
