Pardon if this has been discussed anywhere before..
Anyone got a nice simple way to get google search as default back in the location/address bar in M12 with FF8 ??

Seems like some serious editing is required.

I know the rationale, re income etc.
    I have donated elsewhere :)

I know there are other search options, but I like what I like.

The "presets" are a bit annoying and the Mint search is outright pathetic

    regards

    Thankyou ...

This is a new install of M12 in VMWare for trial

I have no issues with Search from the search bar: have added all I want there.

I want to do default google search from the "Awesome bar" ie address bar.

    Having some problems...

I think I'm getting DNS redirect from my effing ISP !! o_O

..when I put a single word search in the address bar:
Im getting a redirect to A "BigPondSIteHelp" page" re here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNS_hijacking
    and
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Searches are redirected to another site?s=redirects&r=0&as=s

This has only started happening recently.
Does not happen in older Linux installs.
Does not happen in MS installs.

In this new install in VM: all the time

Just booted a fresh Ubuntu Ocelot -thingy- and happening there too.

    :ouch:

I dont really want to have to rejig all the networking.

    Any ideas plz.
    Any comments?
