McAfee Internet Security ???

I have a friend of mine who swears by it. I had terrible experience with it. Any opinions out there? I'm talking about any McAfee ONLY...

Let's stick to only the new versions, as mcuh as possible..

The last three times I tried to install a new McAfee product, it crashed my computer.
Used to love it, now, lets just say if you use Mcafee and are happy with it, then more power to ya.

 

Well, generally, I agree with you.. At my office, however, McAfee is the "Defacto" product recommended by the corporate big wigs who run the company (it's a BIG Company)...They just installed McAfee Internet Security and it's runs flawless! I couldn't believe it myself..On WinXP Pro 512 K Athlon Processor.. The firewall is a bit of a pain to get used to, but honestly, it's not bad, actually. In the past I personally went through hell with McAfee.. Either they straightened out their act or computers are getting better to handle software like that! LOL!!!
That's why I started a thread, just to see if anyone else tried McAfee lately...

I have McAfee VS7 on my other puter, and it haver never caused my any problems. Its the only AV software besides Nod32 i never have experienced problems with.
Okay i only have used them both for about 2 1/2 monhts, but problems should have occured then.
But remember, no pc is the same, so what works fine for me, could create havoc on yours.
There were some problems for Windows Me users, but there is a hotfix to download from their website. The hotfix is also in the lates upgrade to the scanengine.
