Then she could have any software for free(Illegally of course). Should McAfee go the way Microsoft or Symantec went? :thumbd: :thumbd: :thumbd:

Hi, folks: I know that that practice is not ethical, and not to be supported. But if a software company could not go with an extra mile to protect its product, this company is as guilty as the offender. The $0 sale in question is really pouring cold water on users who bought these McAfee products either w/coupon or full price at beginning, they might feel been betrayed by McAfee. And other question is that is this $0 sale been authorized by McAfee? The bottom line for penny pincher is a penny saved a penny earned. BTW, pls do not get me wrong, I am a strong supporter of legitimate apps. I do condem illegal use of any apps.:-*

If you bought 300 pencil sharpeners for $1.50 each and you wanted to bring some attention to your company so you decided to give them away, would this be illegal. I don't believe buy .com did anything wrong either. Symantec and some of the other av companys allow stores to give them away after rebate. Buy.com just bypassed the rebate process Which is a pain anyway.

Just a note, buy.com has already shipped my Mcafee. Already have the tracking No. that is pretty quick service.

The best thing about getting the McAfee for free is I will be getting a $35.00 rebate by sending an old Norton disc in with the rebate.:thumb:
