I played with it briefly. The more they dumb down the UI the harder it is to actually get to anything useful. :doubt: But, it is a first beta, hopefully the will polish it up a bit.

Actually I can have it on one my of snapshots in time machine, but I would use it as a routine AV on one of my production machines.

yes wait till they have beta tested for 6 months with their customers after release,Kaspersky seem to regard the customer base as extended beta testers

Wouldn't call myself a fan, but the more sophisticated a product is, the more things to go wrong.

They did! But I don't know if I believe that to be the case with a beta version. :D
It will be interesting to watch it progress. I'm sure it will change plenty before it is final. On the up side it did not seem unstable as I played with it. Usually the first beta releases are highly unstable.

I stopped using kaspersky products after about 12yrs because the later versions were so buggy on release, other products do have issues but not to the same degree

Well, I find it very clean and nice UI. On the picture at the top it looks kinda ugly, but I installed it and in person it is very nice - with subtle clean animations, well though menu structure, etc. Well done Kaspersky!

By the way it runs veeery smoothly for a beta version :D

    Yep ugly gui

...however I don't like current one either but as long as KAV keeps on working and running smoothly on my computer, I couldn't care less of how its gui looks.

The same goes for Avira ;)
