All ports stealthed here with Shields UP.
No open or closed ports, all ports are stealthed.
    Using Jetico Beta 10.

Strange, here mostly closed and some stealthed o_O
Hm, i see in the system event log that the bc_filter.sys failed to load. Might that be the reason. Also i can delete all sys files from jetico, which should not be, i think, when Jetico is running.

P.S. Installed my OS new, Jetico Beta 10 running smooth again :)

    Hello timeit, Welcome to Wilders,
It sounds like a driver conflict.
Nail (jetico developer) does visit the forum,.. but I would suggest sending an e-mail to jetico support as they may need more info (PC config /drivers etc)

    Edit,...
    (cross post)
You should send details to Jetico support

Glad to hear. Services like IIS may fail to establish network connections while JPF GUI is inactive.

    Jetico 2.0.0.15

Would not install on my machine. Had to install in safe mode.
Had slow startups and rules windows hanging. After about ten restarts everything is working (even with saved config.xml file).
After finnally getting it configured it is now working as it should.

I now have Jetico service set to Automatic and having no problems (that I know of yet).
O & O Defrag Pro 8.5 and Avira AntiVir Guard are now starting up when Jetico is set to automactic (had emailed Jetico support yesterday about services not starting up with build 2.0.0.10).

@Tommy. I'll check that out later after I make an Image.

    Rick

EDIT: I had NONE of the above problems when installing Jetico 2.0.0.15 on another image I had of my computer.

I am not sure if there is something wrong regarding SHA-1 Hash in Jetico, or a behaviour of a Boclean file.

    Example:
    1.Start of PC:
    File 'C:\Program Files\NSClean\BOClean\BOC422.EXE' gets the Hash: AA74BB2BFDB44BDC83C2BE5940D479D730917CDF

    2. Start of the PC:
File 'C:\Program Files\NSClean\BOClean\BOC422.EXE' gets the Hash
    0000000000000000000000000000000000000000

This change happenes only regarding HASH check for network comunication. Indirect access and network access stay as in 1. start.

    File has defenetly not changed.

    Some more issues:
    -----------------

    Event Application log shows:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Jetico Personal Firewall server ) could not be found. It contains the following insertion string(s): .
    Service started

    Question:
Has Beta 15 changed its behaviour regarding registry entries. I found a mass of Jetico Registry entries which i havn't seen in Beta 10.

Following could be an error from my side, but i am not sure.
Deinstalling Beta 15 with all the regsitry entries results into a complete loss of network configuration, they didn't even appear anymore in the Control Panlel/Network.

Ok, i got this wired Network Communication Hash problem again with an other application. This time it is '
    C:\Program Files\musikCube\musikCube.exe
    Network Communication Hash: 0000000000000000000000....

I think the problem is triggered by SSM, and seams only to affect applications which hook them self, or in an other way a third party dll/sys (MusikCube has his own MMShellHook.dll). Could be, because SSM creates an additional thread in every process or becuase SSM hookes 'safemon.sys'. This SSM Hook and the application hook could effect the 'Network Communication Hash HASH' Calculation of Jetico?

    @Stem:
As i know you run SSM 2.1 and Jetico 2 Beta. Can you please try to reproduce this strange behaviour by running MusikCube.

Of cource everybody else is welcome to try.

    Backupped my current 2.0.0.10 config
Uninstalled 2.0.0.10 -> seemed to uninstall ok. Reboot.
Installed 2.0.0.15 -> seemed to install ok. Reboot.
Rebooting was much slower than before, seemingly hard disk operated much longer and 'harder'.
Set the config from previous version to be used.
After this tried several programs (Firefox, Gaim, Steam,... )
After a few programs had asked for network communication with hashs '000000...' and after long waiting periods (hard disk seemed to got coffeine injection) I decided to revert back to 2.0.0.10.
Tried to uninstall 2.0.0.15. -> The Uninstaller windows jammed, the uninstall did not go ok. Had to hard reboot. After reboot got errors about service not started (uninstaller had removed something). Ran uninstalling again, now it went through (althought every uninstalling line gave some BC.. error) and after that another reboot.
Registry cleaning and installing 2.0.0.10 back -> went ok

Seems to me that there is at least a hashing problem with network communications and possibly this might be the cause of other error/jammings/crashes ?

    Will try next version.

    - I had nearly the same experience as you regarding the uninstall routine.
    - Futher Jpf.exe has in the first 3-4 seconds a CPU load of nearly 70%
    - But Beta 15 itself runs smooth so far.

I had this hashing problem also with Beta 10, but first after installing SSM. What security programs are you running paralell?

    Hi everybody !

I installed this version of Jetico, but I have some problems with it. The most annoying problem is that the startup is very very slow. I have to do Ctrl+Alt+Del, then to kill jpf.exe and jpfsrv.exe and finally to launch Jetico normally, by the Start Menu. It's the only problem I have with this beta.

    One more bug:
    - Jetico b15 does not remember GUI setting during sessions/reboot.

    I have VERY stripped WinXP.
No other security programs are running in background.
    Running processes:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe
    C:\Program Files\Jetico\Jetico Personal Firewall\jpfsrv.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE
    C:\Program Files\RefreshLock\RefreshLock.exe
    C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe
    C:\Program Files\Jetico\Jetico Personal Firewall\jpf.exe
Regarding this my experience is that 2.0.0.10 seemed to try to remember GUI positions and column widths but don't get it right. If I try to resize columns and arrange their positions to my liking, after next reboot it forgets those modifications or remember only some columns. Inside a session everything works ok. Did not get enough info from 2.0.0.15 from this but I assume it work similarly.

I cannot confirm that here. GUI setting stay the same here.

I had alot more memory related rule popups in the Process Attack table in this build.
Everything is running very quiet now.

I can confirm that Jetico doesn't remember GUI position after restart. Also it doesn't remember when I uncheck flat view. It seems that it loses all GUI settings after restart.
I don't have much time for testing so I haven't tested Jetico with hash rules enabled. I will try to test it with hash rules enabled tomorow.
