    Hello all,

I feel inappropriate questions are being asked in the other threads about complaining about Acronis software. If you need tech support, okay. If you want to complain, just get a refund and leave the forum. So this thread is devoted to answering support questions from Acronis customers who are having problems getting refunds. I hope the moderators make it a sticky.

Hello, i just bought TI9 a few days ago and it has already wiped out my computer. How can I get a refund?

P.S. Thanks for this thread, it is urgently needed. It is a significant number of the support requests.

yeah, i did that, but they said i should download some other acronis product in lieu of a refund. i don't want to do that because i already know how bad their products are.

First of all, Acronis makes excellent products. Second, they are required to give you a refund by law if you made the purchase within 30 days. So e-mail them again and demand a refund. If they still don't give it to you, contact government agencies for their advice on how to take additional steps. Acronis makes very good products and this is a great support forum, but you may have to contact the government on matters unrelated to the actual use of the software.

  6. Hi,

My computer was destroyed when I tried to recover my files using an old version of TI (with the latest build for 8.0). Am I still eligible for a refund?

    Thank you so much.

Yes. If the product did not work as promised, and if you did not do anything wrong and there's nothing out of the ordinary with your computer, then it is obvious the software was defective and you deserve a refund, regardless of when you bought. Please contact Acronis for additional information at info@acronis.com and support@acronis.com.

  8. Okay,

Also many of my files were destroyed. I had pictures of my family and friends on vacation in there, as well as some digitized baby pictures, all my financial records, my resume, etc. This stuff is really invaluabe. Shouldn't Acronis pay for this also.

While I empathize with your losses, it is your own fault. If the files were that important, you should have backed them up before using Acronis True Image. This is not the appropriate place to ask for reimbursement for your lost files. Go elsewhere, please.

Actually we are going to close it and let the Acronis folks create a thread detailing their policy on refunds if or when they choose to do so.
