Thanks. Because they still released new versions I was under the impression that it at least still received bugfixes. Guess I'll switch to the free Editor.

That's why I was still using it. Anyway, I'm now using their PDF Editor. As you can in the screenshot, I customised the toolbar to remove anything related to editing PDFs, and then resized it to half the height, to make it more like PDF-XChange Viewer. I don't need options related to editing a PDFs when I'm only viewing them, and it's nice to have a smaller toolbar again.

Excellent PDF viewer on this end also. Portable seems always an ideal fit for some of us. Not for all.

It is lean, quick and it has a simple GUI.
If someone is using Total Commander and want to view PDF files within the filemanager, the plugin slister can be installed.
After navigating to a pdf-file and pressing "F3" (View), the Lister of Total Commander is showing the PDF file (SumatraPDF is embedded into the Lister)

    Thanks, JR.
I noticed PDF-XChange Editor 7.0.323.0 a few of days ago.
I don't know about the PortableApps version, but for the regular version the UI switched from classic toolbar in v6.0 to ribbon in v7.0, and user customizations are not saved when upgrading v6.0 tot to v7.0.
For that reason, I will wait upgrading to v7.0.
After switching from PDF-XChange Viewer to Editor, last January, I made many customizations in Editor 6.0, to fit it to my needs perfectly. It took some effort, but I liked the result very much.
I hate the idea that I would lose my v6.0 customizations in v7.0, and would need to make a lot of adjustments once again.
I'm fine with change, but not if it means I have to redo, or at least check, all my previous customizations.

I find using a browser is good enough.

PDF-XChange Editor for a long time. Updated to 7, no problem since I don´t customize anything.

I use Nitro Reader 5. Better IMO than the ones build in the browsers, but less heavy than PDF-XChange and Foxit.
