In context: Few companies are as well-known in the ultra-portable gaming device market as GPD. The Chinese company specializes in making the smallest gaming PCs it possibly can, such as the $650 GPD Win 2 or its predecessor, the original GPD Win.

The GPD Win Max brings numerous improvements, changes, and upgrades compared to its predecessors, but we'll start with its design.
The screen bezels are also a bit more uniform, with the top, bottom, and sides all featuring roughly the same screen-to-edge spacing.

Moving on to the Win Max's interior components, we can immediately see that GPD has packed an impressive amount of punch into their flagship gaming machine. It has a 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD, an i5-1035G7 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and "Intel Iris Plus 940" graphics. The Win Max can sustain itself for up to three hours of heavy use with its 57Wh battery.

With its crowdfunding goal starting just today, the crowdfunding campaign for the powerful handheld mini PC has raised 3248% of its original target of £21,355. That’s a whopping £693,685!

There are 44 days left on the campaign and there are already over 1000 backers that are salivating over the new mini PC’s tasty spec bump over its predecessor.
Game Pad Digital has already given some pretty impressive benchmarks on popular AAA games that players can expect to play on the new handheld PC including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Red Dead Redemption 2.

GPD’s model is an all-new take on the design though, with upgraded components including an Intel Tiger Lake processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics.

The GPD Win 3 will go up for pre-order through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that’s tentatively scheduled for January, 2021, and it should ship to backers in April or May. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet.

GPD has been making handheld gaming computers for several years, but up until now they’ve all featured clamshell designs. That means that they fold like a laptop. Lift the screen on the GPD Win, Win 2, or Win Max and you reveal a small keyboard and integrated game controllers.

So GPD decided to try building a model that you can hold like a Switch. But unlike Nintendo’s handheld game consoler, the GPD Win 3 is a full-fledged computer capable of playing PC games. And since it has a keyboard, you can use it to enter usernames, chat, or use other applications that require text input.

It is said to be the world’s first Windows 10 slider bar handheld game console, and honestly, this is one gadget that cannot be ignored. At $799, the Win 3 is one of the most feature-packed consoles we’ve seen in recent times and will soon be going live on Indiegogo as a crowdfunded project.

The Win 3 is yet to go live on Indiegogo but a preview page of the product is already live and can be accessed over here. It is definitely one of the most unique gadgets we have seen in a while as you don’t really expect a mini-PC to be touted as a handheld gaming console

The GPD Win Max 2021 is a handheld gaming computer that’s also a mini-laptop thanks to a built-in keyboard, trackpad, and game controllers. It looks virtually identical to last year’s GPD Win Max, but the new model will be available with a choice of AMD Ryzen 4000 “Renoir” or 11th-gen Intel Core “Tiger Lake” processor options.

Now, a day ahead of the start of the Win Max 2021 crowdfunding campaign, GPD has upgraded the specs for Intel models. It will now feature an Intel Core i7-1195G7 processor with support for single-core Turbo Boost speeds as high as 5 GHz.
The company has also adjusted the pricing. There’s no longer a $1400 model with a faster processor, as all Intel versions will come with Core i7-1195G7 processors [...]
