Both setups from anvir and giveaway contain the "Dealio-Toolbar".
But the setup from giveaway have no option to deselect the promo
links but these wont open after setup like the regular setup do.
giveaway offers its own options which can be deselected (saved in registry)

Hmmm ok well I didn't know that. I noticed on GAOTD they have a pretty healthy comments section below that doesn't appear to be edited of criticism for whichever product is on offer. Ye olde adage 'nothing is free' might be rearing its head on this post ... Yada Yada

Back on topic. If you uninstall Anvir Task Manager, you will get the following page:

    trialpay.jpg

Advertising uniblue products and trial pay.

    hmm - never did that.
/me installed anvir into sandboxi and did the configuration -> Anvir.ini to use it portable.
    (anvir.ini contains valid registration later)
to be portable i read the instructions and later copied all neccessary files out.

TrialPay is a legit business - i have rec'd probably 7-8 good softwares from them in exchange for signing up for some usually free offers....i got Kaspersky AV, Zone Alarm ISS, Extra Mame 2009, bunch of others.....also just bought something called "The Big Bundle" from them for $15 - it included a $10 Papa John's pizza gift card, Trend Micro AV/AS 2010, Bejeweled 2, WinZip 12.1, Roboform Pro, Foxit PDF Creator, 3 months DropBox Pro, a free domain from GoDaddy, etc etc, too many to name - was basically $5 net charge to me if you count that PJ's giftcard....

as far as GiveAwayOfTheDay - the only problem i have with it is that usually you can only install the free program in the 24 hour period iirc....and i need to re-install OS from time to time to start fresh and get rid of junk so i would end up losing those programs....i guess if i got set up correctly with Norton Ghost or something i could save them, but im not organized enough for that yet...

Hi. I am subscribed to GAOTD and I bought it without first browse here.

Now I installed it in one snapshot and I feel disappointed, as I don't think it will offer me something that I was missing.

When they say free updates for 1 year what does this mean?

That after this period I cannot download and install the newest version?

What kind of policy is that for a start up monitor program?
