You know it is quite astonishing how many people (myself included) attach more importance to FDISR than they do the OS, in that we are all reluctant to upgrade to a new OS without having the security of FDISR.
Must give Todd a great deal of satisfaction to see the almost unique loyalty and belief in his product. Never seen anything like it in any other software.

Guys, let's not get our hopes up too high; better to be pleasantly surprised than greatly disappointed.

My experience with FirstDefense Rescue has been very disappointing, and not because of having one snapshot available. The program could not be uninstalled completely under any circumstances except restoring an image with ShadowProtect (my OS is Vista Ultimate). I never got a reply from HorizonData or from this forum (I'm not blaming forum members).

Furthermore the program (Rescue version) has always been prone to conflicts in an unrealistic way: the only one that doesn't work with Anti-Executable. Very often updates ended up with errors (even without Anti-Executable), my feeling was that I needed to have ShadowProtect always on the ready to "rescue" FirstDefense.

I abandoned it. Please do not take my post as a tirade against FirstDefense, hopefully these issues will be fixed with the next incarnation.

As for the full version, IMO ShadowProtect can be used to perform almost the same operations, although I'm sure that if it is offered again, many people will be happy to have it.

    heh, sorry, mine does too.
    Watching and waiting..

Still, we can actually run this in Vista and W7...( Pandlouk rules :) , Todd watching I guess :) ).... genius software really.
