Cheers Ron. Next time I'm going to wait & just download the 14.0.1 release! ;)

In fact, I don't know why Mozilla don't just release 0.1 versions from now on LOL. It would save so much time.

The fix for the flash crashes was probably the focal point for this release.

You Tube works fine here using the latest versions of both programs.

I'm just wondering if crash on quit caused the silent crashes as I experienced. Flash worked fine for me but noticed many crashes in Firefox's Crash Reports. If that's the case then perhaps the fix could be only applying to silent crashes?

As Ron indicated, the plug-in container quit issue has been fixed. No issues to report at this time.

    Re: Firefox 13.0.1

I wonder if this flash issue caused a sound problem on my kids shared laptop. Never had an issue with sound on it, until after I ran this months windows updates and updates to flash player.

System sounds will play. But trying to stream YouTube videos or any other streaming video, there is no sound. This is with IE, Chrome, and Firefox.

Should I try maybe an uninstall reinstall of Flash? Has anyone heard of this issue recently?

    Thanks in advance.

I have not seen this issue but I would try to uninstall/reinstall Flash as my first troubleshooting step. If that doesn't work I would check your sound mixer and see if there is anything there that is turned down. There are many possibilities, start with the most obvious and go from there, if needed.

Sound mixer is fine. Even cranking them all up to 100% does not fix it. Will try the old uninstall reinstall of flash. I think Adobe has an uninstall utility correct?

    Thanks again Jack.

    You're most welcome, Trooper :)

    From Roddy's post :
The separate 32bit and 64bit uninstallers have been replaced with a single uninstaller.

    Cheers,

Flash 11.3 and Firefox 13.01 don't work for me either unless I have protected mode turned off.
