extra msonfig function from MS - adds tool tab

this is an update from MS for a tool that adds extra functions to you msconfig box. i would have tried it but, their very clever Genuine Windows Validation rubbish has never worked for me. i have a valid version which they even activated for me by phone, see here.

so what should i do hack my computer, i don't see why i should. idiots, that's not the first program i haven't been able to install.

Thanks for the info. I wonder why this hasn't appeared as an optional download from Microsoft Update?

I've got it now, so I'll give it a whirl and see what it adds/breaks...

It's only 500K or so, if you want me to email it to you, PM me with an email address and I'll oblige. (Since you do have a genuine Windows installation).

i just got it working. i went to Internet Option>Programs Manage Addons, and the genuine thing was disabled so i enabled it. now it works. thanks for the help anyway.

 

I've been curious, what does it add? Could someone post a screenshot?

 

It adds a Tools tab from which various Windows tools can be launched. You can also add your own tools to launch from that tab (e.g. I added process explorer and some other diagnostic tools). Details at
