I'm glad I stumbled on this thread as I was going to buy the unlimited version today.
This may be a stupid question but does this go for laptops also? I have to travel from time to time for work and use the laptop when on the road and away from the PC. My home PC and my Laptop are configured exactly the same (Same operating sys., software, and security software the only differance is the wallpaper so when I have them on the kvm doing updates and sync. doc's I can tell them apart) and only one is in use at a time by me. My other software including M$'s office pro. 2003 allows this as long as it is used by one user on both. As to paying $160.00 for two unlimited licences just to use one on a laptop that is used Infrequently is a little much.

    From the Ewido faq

"As long as all computers are only used by the same person, a single license can be used on all computers (e.g. one license for desktop PC and notebook). If these computers are used by more than one person (e.g. the whole family) you need to buy one license per computer."

    cheers

Hi Quest... I know you've responded since this post, and probably does not apply now, but in Ff, you did have Javascript on? I know some sites I have gone to 'submit' something and no amount of clicking on submit would do it until the penny dropped, *turn on JS you dimwit Tassie*, lol.

someone else reading may have same encounters and this could help.

    Cheers, TAS

I have purchased the lifetime renewal.

However, I did want to point out that there is a discrepancy between the FAQ response of Ewido, posted by oldBear on this thread, and the "General Terms and Conditions" ((dated 12/29/05) and the "Software License" (dated 12/1/05)

The General Terms, at Article 3(4)(a) provides,in pertinent part:

"The customer shall be entitled to use the program on one computer of his choice only"

The License, at Article 3(d)(1), provides:

"Upon a change of data processing equipment the Licensee shall delete the software from the hard disk of the hardware used so far. He shall not store, keep on hand or use the software intened for one work place on more than one hardware at a time."

I purchased the lifetime renewal, thinking it was only for one computer, because of the quality of this program.

It is nice to know (thanks oldBear) that I got more than I bargained for. But I think Ewido should make changes to these 2 documents to reflect their actual policy.
