I just bought the new anti virus 5.
    I have windows 7 under 64 bit.

I try to install the file and im under administrator(admin) account and when its getting to the part of copying new files im getting this error:

    Error getting file security C:\Program Data\ESET\ESET NOD 32 Antivirus\updfiles\em003_32_l1.nup GetLastError : 5

I dont know what does it mean and why it happening all the time.
I had before nod32 anti virus 4 no problems i removed it and wanted to install the new anti virus 5 version to use my new license codes but cant install it.

Any ideas how to solve it ?

    Thanks.

Does the folder "C:\Program Data\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\updfiles" already exist before you begin installation? Could you create an install log, compress it and paste it here?

Here is the log file tried to upload it as rar but it was not valid. So i attached it as original.

And about the directory: updfiles yes its allready exist.

I tried to delete it and it asked me to continue i did but then im getting try again error message say i need permission for this action. And im adminitrator im sure.

There must be a fix or something simple to do it. I dont want to play and change now security settings in my system.

    Thanks for the help.

Try stop eset service and delete the file.

r-click my computer, manage, service, look for "eset service" and stop it.

Try running the following command with elevated admin rights:
    cacls "C:\Users\All Users\ESET" /g "Administrators":F
