I like its Online Armor FW. It has great HIPS. Now I enjoy Emsisoft Anti-Malware + Online Armor combo on my main PC.

in fact we (sometimes) mention it here but Emsisoft has very valid products that never causes serious issues so we don't have much to say except using it :D

I see by your signature that you use Emsisoft, Avast, and an AV in Comodo Internet Security. How do you run 3 AV's on the same computer with no conflicts?

Emsisoft AM is one of my favorites. Like Webroot, it has awesome support. Emsisoft is fast and light. I have malware detection to be tremendous except for a very few FPs. The BB [mamutu] is very strong blocking many unknown malware dead in their tracks.:thumb:

Found some drag with Emsisoft on a very fast machine.

But remember, these machines really show any slight impact. When a page loads normally in 0.09 seconds, and suddenly a new product causes that load time to increase to 1.0 seconds, it feels like eternity. Overall I felt a bit of a drag on the system.

Also, Emsisoft was using roughly 12% of the ram on the system! In comparison, Appguard, Adguard, MBAM, and ClamAV+Sentinel and ALL services+web browser COMBINED use less than 13% of the ram on this system..

Yes, fast machines can show slight system impacts but on older machines impact is even more noticeable (loading time from 2 seconds can jump to 4-5 seconds). For that reason I prefer to test system impact on my netbook with low specs...
Memory usage is IMO not that important when checking system impact of AV. AVs with large local virus databases are faster if database is loaded in memory than if they have to read it from disk all the time. Cloud based AVs OTOH usually don't use much memory since they don't have large local databases.

Back on topic: I tried to install Emsisoft in my VM but it says I already used 30 day trial. That's strange, since I never tried this AV in my VM, neither on my host system :doubt:

It does in the other anti-malware software forum. There's even a thread for Emsisoft Anti-malware version 8.1.
