    Hello,
I am using Acronis True Image Server 8.0 for Windows. I did backups using Acronis bootable media (CD). But after restoring the Windows 2003 server SP1 that belonged to a domain during the backup I can no longer logon to the domain, the domain users in the management tab are shown as numeric values (the computer doesn't seem to connect to the active directory). The mashine itself shows up as belonging to the domain, but only local users can logon to it.
This has happened on two Win2003 servers, but I had no such problems with Win2000 advanced server. I was able to put them back on the domain by manualy removing from domain and then adding again, but does anyone know how to do this right?

    Hello Prejudiced,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Server Disk Backup Software.

I'm afraid that you will need to re-join the domain each time you restore Windows from the beforehand created image. However, this issue is not related to Acronis software, but to some Windows peculiarities. Please take a look at the respective Microsoft Knowledge Base article for details.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.
