    I'm trying to help a friend who just purchased ESET Smart Security Suite for 4 systems, to replace expired McAfee AV on all systems. Three of the systems are identical HP Pavilion dv1000 notebooks with Windows XP Pro SP3 installed. The only difference is that his daughter's system has CYBERsitter Version 9 (9.5.5.16 from Solid Oak Software Inc) installed while his own system doesn't.

    He is able to access their favourite search engine site (Dogpile.com) and execute a search OK, but his daughter isn't. The initial www.dogpile.com front page comes up OK, but as soon as you enter any search string and click the search button, IE 7 immediately comes up with it's 'Cannot Display the Web Page' Error Page. The URL shown, in the address bar is;
    http://www.dogpile.com/dogpile/ws/redir/_iceUrlFlag=11?_IceUrl=true

    When I enter the same search term in IE on my Windows XP Pro SP3 system, also with IE7 the following URL is shown with the search results in the web page:
    http://www.dogpile.com/dogpile/ws/r...e/iq=true/zoom=off/_iceUrlFlag=7?_IceUrl=true

    If you copy and paste the 1st URL into the address bar of IE you get an error from Dogpile saying that no search term was entered into the Search Box. So in my estimation something is filtering out the entered text in the Search Box and not allowing it to be passed on to the Dogpile Search engine.

    I have to assume this is probably something to do with interactions between Cybersitter and ESET Smart Security, but I'm not sure, hence the question;

    Has anyone else experience problems like this and if so what was the solution? I have searched the forum for references to Cybersitter, but nothing came up that was relevent to ESET Smart Security, hence posting this message.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jonathan.

    Hello,

    Can you tell us what version of ESET Smart Security was installed on your friend's computers?

    Regards,

    Sorry, I meant to do that.

    It's the latest version, he just purchased it a few days ago and downloaded it, it's version 3.0.672.
