Can anyone tell me how to set this feature please. I dont have an ethernet or router, neither am I on a network. I just have a plain ADSL modem (Voyager 105).

Is the anti mac spoofing rule designed for this type of set up. If so how do I "input the configuration " to activate it?

    Thanks

    Terry

No, AFAIK this is NOT needed for your setup.
This is only for networks, were people can try to hijack your communication with another computer by redirecting traffic.

Now, just as an example how to set this rule:

start - run - type: cmd

This should open a dos-window. Type: ipconfig /all

You should see a "Physical Address"-entry, with a xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx (6 groups of 2 digits). This is your MAC address, and needs to be entered in the Anti-MAC spoofing rule. Then the rule needs to be activated in the rule-set by placing a green tick mark at the start of the rule :)

(BTW: anti-mac-spoofing rule can hold only one adapter at a time, so if you change between adapters, you need to change MAC addresses accordingly).

    Hello,

You will have it import it from the desktop into your current ruleset,,Where can you get it?There is a ruleset from terry up with Phant0m;s ruleset and LnS rules in there also download it and make it into a rie file, and your done!,just put in the rule right under TCP : Block incoming connections and it will be fine and you have to add your Mac address as you already know, good luck!

If you have trouble making an rie file or a rls file, just copy any rule set on to your desktop and delete everything in it,then cut and paste terry's ruleset into this and save, rename to rie and put it in your look"n"stop folder and you will see a rie file.

To import it go to import and find the rie file then look for the rule anti- mac,put a check in that box and it will be in your current in your ruleset and move it down to just put in the rule right under TCP : Block incoming connections just below it.
