    I have an image backup on three TIB files stored on a single DVD, in a single folder. I have tried to plug the image by pointing to the first TIB file. I get the message "Cannot assign a drive letter to a partition from the backup archive." I have tried by pointing to the second and the third TIB file in this three- file backup set, but get the same message.

    I have read all the posts on this subject in this forum, and based on those, I copied all these files to a single folder on my hard drive. I get the same error.

    I am using build 2289 of TI 9. My conclusion is that this program is unable to plug images that are spread across multiple TIB files, regardless of whether these files reside on a single DVD in a single directory, or whether they reside in one folder on a hard disk. I really need to get to one single file that got corrupted by a bad sector on the disk, which has since been repaired.

    Hello johnmeyer,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please be aware that Acronis True Image 9.0 supports mounting multivolume image archives as a virtual drives by means of the embedded Plug Image tool. The only requirement in this case is that all the volumes of your image archive should reside in the same folder.

    Please download and install the latest build (2323) of Acronis True Image 9.0 which is available at: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/

    To get access to updates you should create an account at:
    http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/
    then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

    Please uninstall any previously installed build prior to installing build 2323.

    If the problem still persists with the latest build (2323) of Acronis True Image 9.0 then please do the following:

    - Verify your image archive by means of the Check Archive tool and let us know the result;

    - Make a shot of the latest screen of the Plug Image wizard which contains the operation scenario;

    - Create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post;

    - Describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

    Please also run "regedit" command and let us know the data lines of the below registry keys:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} -> UpperFilters
