I renewed my subscription for NOD in May. Because my old computer malfunctioned in July, I had to buy a new PC, this time with Windows 7, 64bit.

I've just tried to download NOD on the newly arrived computer, but my username and password don't seem to be working. When I key them in and press enter, the pop up window asking for them reappears.

Is 64 bit a problem? I purchased the Windows XP 32 bit version of the antivirus for a single computer. Or, is it the fact that I'm not allowed to transfer my subscription onto the new PC?

Is there something I can do without buying a new product?

    Hi newbie101,

Make sure the version are you're licensed to use, ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus is the version you're trying to download.

Also make sure that you enter the username/password correctly and that your license is still valid.

I previously used copy and paste to enter my user name/password and was unsuccessful with the download although I was careful not to include any spaces while copying.

When I entered them manually, everything started to work properly. :)

Highlight the Username from right to left and use Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste

Highlight the Password from right to left and use Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste

I have found that right click copy and paste does not work on some Windows 7 machines.

    Cheers :D
