My advice would be if you don't need it, don't buy it. I have about 4 Norton licenses, 3 bitdefender, 2-3 webroot, 1 Eset, etc. that I have not used, because I keep getting on sale or free after rebate. Trust me, it's a bad habit to start. lol It's different if you know you will use it in the near future.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't BitDefender the AV brand that which people here on Wilders often say their engine is better in another product rather than their own due to their system heaviness?

If I buy one of these, will I be able to upgrade to the 2013 version when it comes out?

Like i said I'm tempted but I have not bought it yet. My Emsisoft licenses expire in December and even though I love Emsisoft I've always wanted to try BitDefender. Also I'm sure you will eligible to upgrade to 2013. But it will probably be at their regular upgrade price.

Also BitDefender was mid pack in the latest AVC performance test and beta tester are saying 2013 is even better.

I recently had a 3 year license for 3 PCs of Bitdefender Internet Security which I have refunded

everytime I restarted my notebook I got a warning saying that the Antivirus Auto Scanning has been disabled even though I installed it on a clean Windows 7 x64...

When I posted this in their forums...a moderator simply closed my thread so because of that I got a refund...very unprofessional and I'd never touch any of their products anymore even if they offered it for free!

They are so desperate now they are giving discount.....

Clearance?? pleease not like it's some stock lying on the shelves of a store

yes the same license will work for the 2013 and future products but I am very disappointed with them

That is simply an assumption, my fellow human. :argh: They are "desperate" to get rid of the 2012 packaging and everything, but it is a good deal. Same idea when your favorite store has a clearance sale on fall items.

Think out of the box for a second. No doubt there are stocks lying on the shelves in many different stores because their products are available worldwide!

He's talking about digital codes and he's right. If digital codes work with the 2013 edition (which they will), there is little need for a 75% "clearance".

Just marketing gimmicks, we all know the important part is the price as long as it is a good price who cares if they have a real stock clearance or not. :D :D

They need to have a clearance of digital products because they take up a huge amount of space. :D
