A few days ago, while force-feeding rat poison to
VIRTUMONDE and his brat, E2TL.dll, the puter had been
acting a bit sluggish...using the dozen or so scanners for
viruses, malware, etc found ORTBQIT.EXE which could not be ID'd by anyone, anywhere. really,
Next day, things got very interesting. Here's how:
    DOWNLOAD PROTECTION SERVICES for SpywareBlaster,
    SpywareGuard, Windows Defender and Spy-Bot S&D !!

any checkboxes were empty for selecting the DLPROSVS
PLUS SpyBot also had lost Tea-Timer, and the Helper box
above it. Immunize toy would not let me check box
    at bottom of that page.

An old pal, BHO DEMON, was completely empty, as were
other apps and pgms that usually have half a doz or more.
Any and All ideas, suggestions, admonishments or
conspiracies relating to politicians in Wash DC are welcome

I've merged your two threads since they seem to be on the same subject.
