Today I went to access XP Control Panel and my system froze so I had to do a hard reset. After rebooting I checked Amon to see whether any virus caused the crash and noticed that all the entries were zero including files scanned. I opened a few programs and still noticed that no files were being scanned. I waited for about half an hour and the same. Imon was working but not Amon.

Although I only noticed this just tonight Amon could have stopped scanning before today.

The only 3 new programs I have installed which are new was the new version of BOClean, IE7 and Windows Defender and Diskeeper 2007 Pro Premier which I installed just before this happened. I went to the event viewer and noticed a hell of a lot of DCOM errors. Anyway I uninstalled BOClean & Windows Defender as I thought there may be some conflict and uninstalled and re-installed NOD 32 and it's working so far.

Anyone know of any reported conflicts between NOD 32 and any of these programs - Windows Defender, BOClean 422 (latest), Diskeeper 2007 Pro Premier or IE7? I've had IE 7 for a few days and no problems with Imon. But as to BoClean and Windows Defender I don't know as I just installed them. I suspect the security programs clashed but I don't know for sure. I've had Defender for a few days as well as IE 7 but BOClean is just new as well as Diskeeper on automatic defragging.

Any ideas as it's a real concern that my AV real time stopped scanning without any warning. The icon showed all was well but it wasn't showing the files being scanned if they were. Is this a graphical glitch or was Amon not scanning?

I've just had a beautiful 6 months of perfectly smooth sailing with NOD 32 without the slightest problem or virus so it seems like a conflict here.

    I'm using NOD32 (2.51.26), BOClean (4.22.002), IE7 (7.0.5730.11) and Windows Defender (1.1.1592.0) without any problem.

I'm not using Diskeeper 2007 Pro Premier....

I'll just have to wait and see. Could be scanning was fighting with Diskeeper for resources and everything just froze.

Thanks for letting me know about your configuration.
