Wanting to give NOD32 a test run, I downloaded the trial version.
It installed fine onto Win XP Home, and then I updated the definitions, and did a full HD scan. The program found one Trojan which impressed me straight away.

My problems started when I did a computer reboot, and AMON wouldn't load, and the error message said something about not being able to find NOD32 core.

I'm not going to spend $80 odd dollars on one program where the trial version won't run properly, and there is no tech support until you buy it!

I've looked at the FAQ and can see nothing there, so thought I should give this forum a go.

Has anyone out there a solution for me?

    Kind regards
    DC

    Hi Dave,

I'm not sure whether this is a solution, but you can give it a try.

Did you uninstall all previous anti virus software you were running? Or try doing a full uninstall, restarting pc and downloading the full version using an evaluation key.

Send me a PM and I'll send you an evaluation key for August.

    Rgds

    Buster,

Nice offer. Seems like good old Rod Fewster has a "competing" reseller over on Australia ;)

    regards.

    Hi Paul,

I'm just a lowly Oz reseller trying to do the right thing and help out a prospective NOD32 user. This forum is to help everyone, just doing my small bit. :D

 Me - compete with Rod - I'm not that brave, he's one tough cookie, but with a heart of gold! ;)

    Cheers

    Hey Dave Cripps

    I wouldn’t put fault on the NOD32 Installation file;

Make sure NOD32 Kernel Service is being loaded properly by checking in “Services”, Start / Run / services.msc.

If it’s not automatically started by Default then manually jump start it and then Start / Run / C:\Program Files\Eset\nod32kui.exe /WAITSERVICE

If you haven’t already you can just do full uninstallation of NOD32 and re-boot and re-download NOD32 and try Installing it again and re-boot. ;)
