Usually you update AIDA by starting AIDA and then:
    File > Netupdate.

As far as I'm aware it doesn't work this time with this Preview version in that way.
    Why do I think that?
I did the usual thing (start AIDA32, then File > Netupdate).
It looked like something was updated.

    But:
I ran my two File Integrity Checkers (NISFileCheck and ADinf32 Pro) to look for any file-changes (deleted, added, changed) with respect to AIDA32.
Both did not find any change.
So, as far as files are concerned, I think that I have to conclude that this time AIDA32 was not updated.
Note: I did not look for registry changes.

Anyhow: it was a Preview version, so lets wait and see what happens when the "final" version comes public.

PS: of course I can have made some mistake....

    You didn't.

NetUpdate kind of states sideways that you've already got the latest version if you have v3.50.

The "preview version" is obviously not on the updater. Pete

    Hi Pete,

I'm a bit confused about what you wrote about that version 3.50.
    My latest version is 3.61.
Here is a part of a screenshot of the Help > About window:
(BTW: I have the enterprise version installed; there are several versions of AIDA32)

    Hi Blaze,

Yep, AIDA gives you lots of info about your system, and it's free !
There are a few other programs that can do that too; for example Sisoft Sandra Pro, but that one is not free; and Belarc.

I guess the difference comes from the fact that yours is the "enterprise" version and mine's not. Here's my "Help"/"About" screenie. Pete

    Hi Pete my friend,

I just took a screenshot from the AIDA website:
    http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32

As far as I can see all three versions of AIDA32 are 3.61.
But I admit that I haven't installed the personal version. ;)

Warm regards from your friend, Jan.

    Hi Bob,

You could well be right !!
I myself have a bit older version of the Pro version.
Last time I checked, and I guess that is more than an half year ago, it seemed to me that the free version came with some adware. But, please (!!), I don't remember me it exactly, so I could well be wrong!!!
Sorry if I gave the wrong information !

    Best regards, Jan.

I didn't know about the following until you talked about it Jan. There was a new free version (March 2003) that's in release now of SiSoftware Sandra Standard and people can check out info at:
    http://www.sisoftware.net/index.html?dir=&location=pinformation&langx=en&a=

I really appreciate the aida32 info. Thanks.

    Hi Bob,

I had a quick look at the Sisoft Sandra site:

    http://www.sisoftware.net/

    Quote:

    General Sandra Information
Here are the version types, in line with industry standards:
    - Sandra Standard (free for personal/educational use - no nag screens, time limit, etc.)
    - Sandra Advanced (free, registration required)
    - Sandra Professional (commercial)
    - Sandra Engineer (commercially exploitabile)
    - Sandra Enterprise (commercially exploitabile)

    -end quote-

So it could indeed well be that I was wrong !!!
(But I haven't installed the standard version.)
If I was wrong, I really do apologize !!!

I installed the AIDA32 Enterprise edition.
I was using Belarc Advisor and it's a good program.
    But,I really like AIDA32 better!
This program even gives system temps for motherboard and cpu!
    Excellent informational program!

    Note:

Required to install and run Computer Profiler
If you don't have that one, you can download it from that same site.
