    Hi Mantra,

I believe you will find this thread https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=600890 to be of interest. In particular, see Alexy's post #11. In answer to your basic question though: if you disable the scheduler2 service, you will lose the ability to create images in Windows.

    Hello mantra,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software and Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

Regarding the schedul2.exe and TrueImageMonitor.exe services please see Ozmaniac's post above.

The purpose of the oss_reinstall.exe service is to start when a user logs into Windows and check the current state of Acronis OS Selector independently of whether it is installed or not. After oss_reinstall.exe service finishes the check (within a few seconds) it immediately shuts down.

Please be aware that this service is essential for the proper functioning of Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 and so we do not recommend you to remove it from the list of services launched on the system startup.

If oss_reinstall.exe service remains in the memory of your PC for the time longer then a few seconds then first of all please make sure that you use the latest build (2077) of Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 which is available in the Product Updates section of your account on our web site.

To get access to updates you should create an account then log in and use your serial number to register your software.

If the problem still persists with the latest build (2077) of Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 then please create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please submit a request for technical support. Attach the collected file to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
