I'm guessing quite soon. Again the only reason there is a delay in the first place is they want to make sure its just right. They don't want the beta to be a foul up Prevx is notorious for releasing good software they don't want to break that tradition. =D

this is going to be the one good beta left for this year, as far as offering something totally new and not just a rebadged GUI.

Is Prevx 4 SafeOnline able to provide better clipboard and screenlogging protection on x64?

Yes :) it still isn't 100% yet because of the architectural limitations in x64 but it is quite close :)

The beta will be fully open without requiring specific signup.

ye i know, but there's a limit on how long you 'build interest' for, otherwise people start to think that they are running behind schedule due to technical reasons or they are struggling for money so they are trying to horde in as much peoples imagination as possible. either way, uncool move.

avast has super speedy beta's, but they are still the most used antivirus program in the world so your theory does not compute

IMO too speedy, they have started to behave just like COMODO they rush them out to quickly :thumbd:

Can't be really compared, Avast is free and way more well known than Prevx. And Avast beta's are also a bit too speedy IMO.

i agree, but they are still the market leaders, even above AVG and Avira who have slower cycles.

all i am saying is, this prevx beta is doing my head in, sorry for rant. /end

Seriously, what do people want? Eye candy now that does not work OR a first class beta that does the business but just needs a little rounding off by us.

I know what I prefer. :D Lets give 'The Team' a chance to astound us again...just like they did last time! ;)

at what point have i said that i want prevx to release any sort of beta right now? all i am saying is that the suggestion of a beta for public release should not have been suggested until at least a month of when it actually was, read this thread in its entirety, joe suggested a beta release for mid January..

not once have i said that i want prevx to release a beta right now, and please don't tell me to leave, there's a way of saying things and what you said was not it..

i have the utmost respect for prevx as an antivirus

It's coming very soon so everyone should just take a step back v4 is a complete re-wright of the code it's the biggest under taking that Prevx has ever done and they have allot of testing across all platforms and 32bit to 64bit and they don't want to give us something that will crash our systems then everyone complains that it was to early to send this Beta to the Public and no I don't have a copy of it either but remaining patient like everyone else! ;)
