I stumbled on PortExplorer looking for a simple way to track down activity on our MS ISA firewall when necessary.

One issue I found that isnt documented, is that bandwidth and packet capture only work when using the console, and will not work from remote desktop that isnt connected to the console.

Also I have seen some mention that it uses a LSP in the TCP/IP stack, is this true? Are there any concerns with using this on a firewall, will the LSP affect performance even when its not in use?

    Thanks,

    Justin

The LSP will have a negligible effect on performance, it is very optimized.
