    Same here.

But to be honest I prefer it that way.

Yea maybe for some but like I said I have some users that don't think of it and don't do it so it puts them versions behind.

Auto update should be provided so as to meet needs such as his. However, auto update should be an OPTION (default to "No"). My computer runs 24/7. I never use auto update because my other security programs will break any & all updates that are not initiated by me.

According to my experience, there are two types of updates:

    1. Regular program updates (you are notified on the main screen and have to confirm)
Regular updated get installed within a week.
    2. Pushed program updates (they get installed, without asking to confirm)

I'm glad with the way it is.

I prefer auto update too and I would like to see it in next version. This was available by default before, but I don't know why they removed it. They'll be notified about this and I am hoping to see this option available to be checked if you want auto update or not.

auto update is a must for the below average computer users . I think this should be the default option and then the user may decide whether they want it manual or automatic.

    Correct! Thanks for the explanation.

Latest versions are not shared via automatic updates immediately. Usually automatic updates are scheduled within a week.

    We have two update types:
    1. Optional updates: In this type, the update is released but it is not required to install it since it doesn't contain any major improvements which would increase the protection level of user. So it is up to user to decide. You will see an alert in the upper part of main page and it is up to you to update the product.
    2. Forced updates: After optional updates are released, a final Forced Update is pushed to the community. The time window for this process is generally 1 week.

So, optional updates do not put any of our users at risk since they are "optional" and they have minor improvements but once major improvements are in place, these updates are pushed immediately to community.

What scanners does ZAM use now? What scanners are used for real-time protection?

It's still missing its right-click context menu icon. Seriously, is that so hard to fix?

This bug has been fixed but for the fix to work u must unistall it first, restart and reinstall it.
Then the right-click context menu will work in every future program update.
