We have three yahoo mail accounts. On one of them, every time we open it we get an IE 6 warning that it has blocked a DirectX script from loading. If I give it permission to load, IE still refuses to load as the script is not signed. Thei happens withevery screen loaded in the account and is really a pain as IE beeps as it does it. This does not happen with the other two accounts. Tried to google this but all I found was some old references referrig to unsigned versions of a Microsoft file.

I don't know what's going on here, I've been getting the same thing over the last couple of days.

You sign in to Yahoo Mail and the XP SP2 yellow bar pops up saying that the site has tried to install Active X. I've just been ignoring the warning and proceeding without installing the Active X; that works for me.

On another account though, this doesn't happen.

I don't know what Yahoo is trying to do, but I wouldn't consider allowing the Active X when it is not necessary and I don't know what it is intended for.

I just tried clearing my IE cache and it made the problem go away. Do not know why it should but it did. Give it a try and let us know.

    Very odd!

I've just tried it again and it didn't do it this time.

I can't believe it's to do with cache cleaning because I regularly use CCleaner; but who knows?
