Winbuilder, VistaPE and Mustang plugins

I'm not sure whether this post belongs here or on Boot Land, but here goes anyway.

I have been trying to rebuild my VistaPE, but whereas Winbuilder 074 with VistaPE 11 and Mustang's ATI 11 and DD 10 scripts worked perfectly for me previously, the current Winbuilder 075 and VistaPE 12 beta 2, which are the only things on offer atm, are completing but with a string of errors mostly related to the Mustang Acronis scripts. Booting to the VistaPE CD neither of the Acronis programs is present on the desktop.

Is it me, or are things a bit out of sync atm?

 

I haven't check lately, but WinBuilder 075 and VistaPE 12 is still very new and buggy. Are you saying that when you go to download, those are now the only options? Or are you selecting to download the beta versions?

This is a pefect example of why it's important to keep your WinBuilder/VistaPE files when you have a successful build. You don't have to use the latest version if a previous one works better for you. I have several computers that do better with WinBuilder 072a/VistaPE 10.

 

075 and VistaPE 12 are all that's on offer atm, and after five attempts I've given up. Unfortunately I didn't keep the v11 builds, but do have v11 bootable partitions.

This is a bit damaging to the VistaPE cause I think.

EDIT - you can download 074, but when you run it it asks you to update to 075.

 

WinBuilder 074 is still in the Stable versions section on the WinBuilder download site. 075 is in the Beta versions section.

I would try downloading 074 and see if you get VistaPE 11 when you run it.

My scripts are written and tested for VistaPE 011. I've posted on Boot Land to see if the VistaPE 011 project is still available.

 

I got a reply from Boot Land. VistaPE 011 is still available. You need to add a server to the list to get it. In the WinBuilder Download tab see the small button in the lower right with a small plus sign. Hover your mouse over it and it will say add a server. Click the button. In the box that pops up type vistape.net/archive and hit OK. You should see VistaPE MultiBoot V.11 show up on the left side. You can also uncheck vistape.net/project to remove VistaPE 012. Add the Acronis scripts and all should be well. Make sure you click on VistaPE MultiBoot V.11 before you hit the Play button to build the CD. Also make sure you configure the Acronis scripts.

I've made a change to my VistaPE Guide to to tell people to make the switch back to V11.
