The license is only activate the Trustport Total Protection, I think so
I've removed Trustport and installed Avast. Light protection :D

You can also use the key to activate Trustport USB Antivirus.

Well since the thread I started was closed I'll post here, does Trustport include any type of behavior monitor/blocker? Or is it primarily a signature based antivirus program?

Also, does anyone know how VIPRE, VBA32 and Dr. Web add to Trustport as I saw in another thread some of their technology is included in the Trustport scanner.

Extremely easy game to play and it was pretty fun too try to decrypt the messages. Rescued 5 satellites and got a free license in any case yay :)

EDIT: Installed and haven't noticed any noticeable lag while using it.

I was wondering if TrustPort has an anti-malware or HIPS module with the two different scanners? It doesn't seem like it has a cloud feature like Panda or perhaps Norton Antivirus. I had to dig through the layers to turn on the the advanced options.

I have a license for Norton Antivirus so I might go back to that after testing TrustPort. The full scan seemed to take twice as much time on TP. Does it have a feature to skip already scanned files?

In this day and age why is there no official user forum for their products ... unless i've missed it.

Tried this a few month ago when version 12 came out and it failed pretty bad with my little humble malware testing. A 3 month old fake av got through and the web protection was bad.

That was using the default settings though, might try it with advanced settings.

After entering my Hotmail alias, and defeating one level, I didn't get any license. Will try again.

Interesting, how did you do that? Application virtualization?

Good info, probably will try that first.

There is a button on the right hand side that becomes selectable once you finish the first level. After you press it the button should have the word 'sent' underneath it instead of 'locked' I think.

Didn't see that, thanks. Already defeated 7 levels, much easier after winning first one.

Does Trustport USB Antivirus need autorun from the usb for its resident protection to work? What if the usb's autorun function has been disabled (thru panda vaccine/bitdefender immunizer)?

Now it's taking forever applying updates. At least the USB version seems to have Windows PE CD as well.

If you're using GMail and you don't get the license email, you might want to check your spam folder.

Unfortunately, the USB version just seems to have AVG, real-time protection can't be disabled (only paused), and only works in a USB drive. Full version next.

Yes it requires autorun. If that is disabled you need to execute the executable.

Just installed it, and there's a dizzying amount of features. No way would I use this for on-demand scanning. Windows AIK is also needed for the PE. Ugh, luckily it's all in VMware.

folks i am running the total protection thing and and it did slow down things in the beginning while the update and the first customized scan finished and now it is not heavy at all. so i think it should just do its job in the beginning and it is just fine. My laptop only has 2 gigs of ram and it is not a problem at all. I might keep it for a day or so. The first full scan only took 30 minutes or something and the second a lot less. The only thing i see it is the fact that the registry has to be scanned separately
So i think it is ok:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
