Currently my family has 3 Android Tablets and 2 Android Phones and they all have these apps installed...

    360 Security
    NoRoot Firewall
    AdBlock Plus
    Clean Master (Cleaner)
    App Master(Uninstall Master)
    Startup Manager
Parental Controls & App Lock (Metacert) (kids)

On my daughters phone I have ESET because 360 kept crashing
    Mobile Security & Antivirus (ESET)

I'm curious what you guys use??

Bitdefender paid, and AdBlock Plus. Url filter works with the stock android browser and Google Chrome.
I've come across a couple of websites the past month that had infected ads that were flagged by Bitdefender, that's why I added AdBlock Plus.

    1. Not connecting the phone to the internet, because I just use it to call and sending basic text messages.
    2. Never enable wi-fi at all. I still occasionally use bluetooth but when I'm not using it, it's also disabled.
    3. Only use 2G network by default, because 3G is still lame as hell in here, let alone 4G. Also, I don't need video-calling or anything that can't be done just with 2G.
    4. Not installing any apps at all, because I don't need to.

I have 360 Mobile Safe installed my phone, and have no security software installed on my tablets.

Only AppLock, don't forget to applock android settings also (otherwise the applock app can removed and installs from unsafe places allowed).

Its UNIX so AV is unnecessary. All you need is to secure your firewall and you're good to go! :thumb:

Really? I've found malware on at least half of the Android devices I have checked, or trace elements of them.

    Anyway;

Malwarebytes (this is better than most people realize)
    AppBrain Ad Detector
    Grey Shirts NoRoot Firewall
    Clean Master
Adblock (port 2020 ad blocking, so it blocks some in-app ads)
Sophos (very good app - by the way)

Re: What is your security setup these days for Android?

AppBrain Ad Detector - Better than Lookout's and all others I've tried in my opinion.
    Grey Shirts NoRoot Firewall
Sophos AV - Includes app locker, anti-theft, spam protection, privacy advisor, security advisor.
    Bluebox Security Scanner
    VirusTotal
    IpTools

To anyone using MalwareBytes, how is the battery life affected? I've seen conflicting reports.
