What are the problems when you try it? Did not hear of any problems with those. I don't run those other two you mention, and i know there are many users with NAV and their l/u and TDS and WG.

Controler: Like you concluded yourself several days ago, i'm normally very busy, these days extremely busy and trying to keep on top of things. I'm a little confused: the virus you mention here, has that connections to Claire's Life Update problem? Claire: if you disable WG a moment and run your L/U, does it work then or still not? Can also be something in your settings, firewall if you can't get a proper connection to it, for installing of files i think settings. Hope you find for that part answers in the "virus" threads where you posted this already. Only heard some people have problems with some windows version, while others with the same configuration have none at all. If you think it can be TH you could disable that a moment and try your L/U and see if it works then. You might like to try TDS in combination and see if it works then all ok for you in case the other gives problems, just to try out the combination you feel comfortable with and works best for you.

That's a very good advice and i've been taught a very expensive lesson, as after running in full confidence a beta test of some software, where the developer seems not to have understoof different language windows/browser versions can have other file names, and so can't just be removed if not in his to keep names list, nor does the person understand it seems a system has more layers then one desktop or explorer with directories and files in them: there can be longer paths; anyway, my confidence left me with a complete crippled system and even with several repair installs and re-installs of important software it's still a mess. So as long as such a program is not displaying a list of intended files cleaning and a possibility to uncheck some i won't run nor beta test that software again. Even an repair update repaired only little, so i'm really to install all again, what i'm not looking forward to, of course. Makes me more carefull with the windows security patches as well, of course, crippling the system more by each patch.

In this case with the software it was kind of cleaning tool; the system like Ad-Aware for instance does, giving a full list what is possible to be deleted and check or uncheck at wish would be very important here. Would have prevented lots of damage which is not possible to be repaired without a new install so i am really far from happy as the system is unworkable in some areas. I have too much to do to be able to do such important tasks and deeper cleaning of the registry too for instance, need time and energy to concentrate on such tasks. So i wait till i have more possibilities around. The Chinese hackers? hmmm wa it one year ago or two already they were so very active with their viruses and hacking sites? Almost May 1 again, same date, so expect them soon. Just protect your system as much as possible, what more can we do?
