Will some of the forum members kindly clarify if the virus removal tools like Kaspersky, Dr.Web, Sophos & Norman can be run in a PC with Avast Free Antivirus already installed. Is it neccessary to disable Avast temporarily to run them? Any answer will be gratefully appreciated.

As a precaution you could temporarily disable Avast.

I use ESET NOD32 as my AV and have never disabled NOD32 when scanning with virus removal tools. I have not had any issues. I don't know about Avast.

  3. I use Dr.Webb from time to time with no issues with Kaspersky. not too sure about Avast. Best bet maybe too pose this question at their forum, http://forum.avast.com/
