NOD 32 V.4 won't install on my PC. I have tried the recomended steps of removing any AV I have had, which is none. I run Malwarebytes and thats it. I have went through the registry and deleted anything I have found with malwarebytes in the key. Rebooted, and still no luck. I don't have Mcrsoft Security Essnt or Live 1 Care, knowing that I still ran the "fix-it" tool from the Mcrsoft link on ESETS knowledge base page. I've heard nothing but good things about ESET but I'm really getting fed up with the installation that I'm considering RMA this crap to Newegg (3user pack NOD32 for $20...get what you pay for right?) I've ran Malwarebytes for about 3 years and haven't had a virus. Tech support for ESET isn't very helpful, seeing how they're closed on the weekends.:cautious:

This is absurd. What in sam hell would you do if I was like the 90% of people that use a computer. They wouldn't have a clue what a registry is.
This software had better be worth the hassle.

Im stuck here. Where is the "eav_nt32_ENU.msi" file going to be located? I can't find it on the installation disk. I don't know where it would be located on my hard drive. When I find that then I can add the logging command to it?

If malware has altered some registry values causing Windows Installer or ESET's features not to work, then the only way to make it work is by fixing it. ESET provides step-by-step instructions in KB articles so that even not computer savvy users can follow them. Even then it's possible to contact customer care for further assistance or ask here for help.

Apparently PM'ing is down on this forum. And I'm guessing it wouldn't be wise to post the log here? Can I email it to you?

Installed the base filter. Successfully installed ESET. Ran a scan. 2 viruses were found, when I flagged them for deletion ESET froze. THen ESET promted a restart. After restart Windows would not boot.(several times) I had to do a restore prior to installing ESET using windows diagnostics prior to bootign Windows. It worked. Now there is a new folder on my desktop with a BFE log. (base filter engine log I'm guessing)
    What-a-ya-think?
Sending PM with link to log contents.

It was a log from the BFE fix tool and nothing suspicious / wrong was logged.
