This has been fixed for Firefox. Is it fixed for Tor also?

While my extensions (NoScript + HTTPS Everywhere) were still enabled, I checked for updates and HTTPS Everywhere failed to update, so I'll say not yet.

    Thanks mood. :thumb:

HTTPS Everywhere was still failing to update to I uninstalled it and installed a fresh copy. All good now.

Edit: Same problem on all three of my machines, including one running Linux Mint.

    Hi 1PW,

I think that was the version that wouldn't install. After uninstalling it then reinstalling I'm all good.

Bear in mind, Tor 9.0a1 is an Alpha version. Alpha software can be unstable and might cause crashes or instability.

    I don't understand "0.4.1.5". On my Win7, Tor is up-to-date at version 8.5.4.

May I suggest that each update explain exactly which Tor is being updated -- beta or Linux or Android or whatever. Don't get me wrong -- I really really appreciate Mood & Minimalist for taking their time to give notice of updates. I do, in fact, rely on those notices.

"Tor" is at 0.4.1.5, "Tor BROWSER" is at 8.5.4.
And the alpha versions always have an "a" in the version number.

Thanks (I think). I shall confess my evident ignorance -- I did NOT know that "Tor" and "Tor Browser" are not one and the same thing. Sorry for the bother but will someone please help me understand the difference?

the onion router = tor = the backbone/network protocol upon which tor browser bundle is based.
