Is there a need to manually upgrade NOD32 when a new version comes out? Don't the program module updates cover everything?

I commonly get this message in the NOD32 event log, though:
"The program modules have been updated."

I assume program modules != PCU?

"PCU"=program component update, for instance an update from build 3.0.650 to build 3.0.657

modules refer to those components shown in Help\About. The Antivirus and antispyware scanner module was updated a few days ago.
