    Hi,

    I have recently downloaded Sentinel after reading the recent thread at wilders and deciding it looks like a really good program to try. One thing I have noticed thou is that when i have finished the complete scan and go into the Appwatch section, click on refreash >I find a entry for Sysfader.

    I have read in the past that this is a trojan/virus, so i did a scan on my Pc and found no entry or service running named SysFader/Sysfaer.exe(none of the usual problem related to this). So i was wondering if any one had any ideas? One idea i had was that it might be something to do with my Nvidia based motherboard.

    Im not too concerned but it would be nice to know, how I can find out what this SysFader belongs to, as i can not find it as an exe file or any thing else using advanced searching options and my system is very clean?

    I think that was nice of you to post back with your info, this is the first time I've seen a solution to this nastie thing. Someone posted with this same problem a few weeks ago and I don't recall them finding a solution.

    SysFader is a strange one, it indeed could be a Trojan/Virus, but may well be other things, so here are some info and links I have found;

    1. sysfader.exe is an process belonging to the Nvidia graphics device range and is bundled alongside these products. This is a non-critical system process although it should not be terminated unless suspected of causing problems.(http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/sysfader/)

    3. it's Windows XP I would go into control panel, system (or right click my computer and choose properties), click on advanced, performance settings and try turning off some of thetransition effects to see if it helps as it could be linked to the file that does the fade in/ out transitions.
