Hopefully this is an ok place to post this question, if not, feel free to send this post on the Wilders Forums World Tour!

Just a general question / comment: I recently had a question about a trojan detection and I looked up the procedure for sending them a sample. I was a little surprised that they simple say, 'send as an email attachment'. It seems to me that doing so could possibly put others at risk for infection, in the event that it is a dangerous malware. I realize the chance is probably prettly low that it would cause harm, but what do you think?

The best way I could answer that is to say if I have an e-mail addy set up just for possible malware samples and ask folks to send them to me there should be no one put at risk because I am expecting or those with access to this account are expecting malware samples :doubt:

    Hi Bubba-

That's true what you said, and maybe I'm thinking these things are worse than they are, but what about the servers that send the e-mail, and in some cases, I think incomeing and outgoing mail is stored on a server.

I just thought it would be safer if they followed a procedure of having you encrypt the file. But I suppose that would just be wasting time if sending the samples does not pose any risk.
