I'd like to know what your opinions are concerning the impact on system stability by the various anti-malware scanners. So many scanners are good in detecting the itw malwares. But which pose the greatest/least risk in crashing a program or operating subsystem?

    Hi zZyXx2,
If you are using WXP or W2K, most programmes designed for those systems work fine as NT based OS's are inherently more stable than older Windows versions.
If a programme fails under XP / 2K it does not usually cause Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) as in older versions.
My advice would be not to rely on ANY Beta versions when trying security related software.
