Hi Root (or anyone else who might know),

You said about spider mail in the update section "If you use DrWeb and haven't been using this, trust me, its a keeper. Been working great on my system."
I thought that spider guard watched over mail. Could you explain for myself, and others, why it's a good idea to get spider mail?

    Thanks alot!
    Scotcov

Spidermail is the DrWeb version of a devoted email checker, that works at the Pop3 level.

The choice is up to you. I recommend it, even though DrWeb does off email protection. This offers more, sooner.
It,s working for me, so my attitude is, hey this is another layer of protection in the one place where most malware enters a computer, namely email.
Hope that answers your question. :)

Thanks Root. That made great sense. :)
Seems like we need all the protection we can get nowadays.

I dled SpiderMail. I didn't realize it was free! (At least for lregistered users).
It doesn't seem to take any extra resources.

    Tim,
    I'm quoting Root:
"It also has an install bat, but I didn't use it. After I copy the new files to the DrWeb directory, I just click on Spiderml.exe and it asks if I want to install. I say yes, reboot and its done."
That's what I did, and it worked perfectly.
