Something targeting AdAware?

    Hmmm... Curious indeed! If WinWhatWhere targeted anti-keyloggers, what's to stop spyware targeting AA? I hope someone captures evidence with a sniffer.

    It's kind of fizzled out over there for the time-being, Checkout.

    One person reported having his AA folder cleared out after visiting an unknown site (except for some old log files, the program was simply gone, as though un-installed from without) and another person had AA crippled (but not deleted) after a run-in with some kind of site that involved Gator (he just re-started the computer and AA was fine again).

    Actually looks like flukes, since if there was any kind of concerted effort to cripple/un-install AA at all, we'd be hearing a lot more about it. (That's not to say that it won't happen one day). Pete
